David’s Christmas album should be out before Thanksgiving just in time for a month of lovely music to wrap, buy, gift, promote, and ooh and ahh over. Baking cookies and listening to David sing Christmas songs seems to good to be true. Can we possibly hope for more Jingle Jam Concerts or possibly a Tree Lighting Ceremony. Ah, Christmas in June, or is it July? Actually, one of the most popular Christmas songs was written in July in Palm Springs. Yes I know, you are all wondering why I am so obsessed with Christmas so early, well when it comes to David and his music too early is never too early. I am making my list and checking it twice so the number of CD’s I am ordering will be correct for all the friends, family and associates that will be receiving them as gifts. Don’t forget the hospitals, shelters, youth centers and libraries that will benefit from such wonderful music. Now, just as we organize the Christmas list we can then move on two his number two Album coming out after the first of the year. So much to be grateful for in such a short period of time. David reminds me of the energizer bunny that just keeps going and going and going.
David is writing many new songs and I sincerely hope some of these are Christmas ones. But whatever he writes we will be amazed and delighted with his talent and enjoy each and every phrase. He has twittered he is taking lessons in writing and is having a lot of fun. Looking forward to his two albums in the making.
Which songs would you like to see on his Christmas Album?

David Archuleta Fan Scene has 273 comments so far with song requests! Here’s my contribution to their list:
In compiling my Song Wish List, I realized many of them have one thing in common: They are American folk songs or spirituals. I believe these songs are especially well suited to the soulful quality of David’s voice.
1) I Wonder as I Wander
2) Go Tell It on the Mountain
3) Sweet Little Jesus Boy
4) Rise Up, Shepherd, and Follow
I join the chorus pleading for “Mary Did You Know”!
I too added to that long list on AFS! It’s so exciting to think about the Christmas songs we’ll all be enjoying this year. I hope David is having fun recording them in June. Ah, the singer’s life — he must think a couple of seasons ahead. I’ll be happy with whatever David chooses, but it would be a nice touch to end the CD with Adeste Fidelis, especially if he would sing the first stanza in Italian. I’d love to hear David singing “Venite adoremus, venite adoremus!” Come, let us adore Him!
