Musing today about poll vaulting — eh, I mean, poll voting. Why do we fans continue to vote in the Musiqtone poll when David’s “Crush” has 30 percent more votes than the second-place video? We could stop at this point and still win Video of the Year 2008.

Is it because we want to Crush the competition? Are we Desperate to prove our devotion and loyalty? Are we trying to break down the Barriers between ourselves and our Idol?

I believe Somebody Out There is listening to our fan voices and we want to be heard. I Don’t Let Go of poll voting because it makes me feel that My Hands are somehow Touch(ing Your) Hand. It’s a great way to stay connected and To Be with You fans.

Am I A Little Too — je ne sais quoi — touched in the head? Or am I Falling into a web?

You Can believe what you want, but I think Your Eyes Don’t Lie. You are all Angels to me. The world needs more people who refuse to give up the right to vote even in the face of certain victory.

Whatever! It Works for Me!
