There is much to debate about David Archuleta bringing back songs from last year’s American Idol tour, but I, for one, am THRILLED that he performed Apologize at his opening concert in Hartford last night.
David, sitting at the piano alone, pouring himself into the lyric with the one of the best vocals I’ve ever heard is well worth many repeats!! I hope he keeps it in his rotation all summer. He is amazing – when did he even have time to learn the keyboard to this?

David has been playing piano more lately. I’m happy that he is singing “Imagine” again and playing it on the keyboards. When David is at the piano, he really pours himself into the music. I think he really loves it! I play piano (a little) — it gives you the feeling of music throughout your whole being, body and soul. Remember what David said on one of the American Idol Ford commercials — that for him the definition of being rich was to sit and practice the piano all day long.
BTW, I really like your new avatar. A big HOOT for the OWL!
Boy, thanks for that video. David sure does look great in that blue… and those close up. Plus, the way he sings…you can really tell he is giving it all he’s got and then some. I love it that David is willing to sing those old songs that I heard him first sing. I’ll never tire of them.
When I heard him do Apologize on finale night I had never heard of the song. haha, I guess I may have been the only one in the free world that hadn’t. but I have to tell you that that song fit his voice so perfectly I thought it was written for him. I loved hearing it on tour and I really do hope he does it on the Demi tour all the way through. I loved all the songs he did on A.I. and I think it will be wonderful to hear them again. so far he has sung my favorites and I am very excited about that. Any David music is great music as for as I am concern.
Saw this live and was absolutely blown away. David just keeps getting better and better. It was a real thrill to be at the first show of the tour and witness this in person!
