Songs This past week was full of stress at work, heart-wrenching stories in the news and worry about where this economy of ours is going. Some days I feel like the weight of the world is on my shoulders as I try to navigate my way through this thing we call ‘life’! When I am feeling like I just don’t have anymore to give, or put up with or worry about, I listen to David Archuleta sing. Honestly, his voice takes away my troubles, even if it is just for a moment. The sound of it soothes me. Like tonic for my soul, David Archuleta and his music make me feel better. It is medicine for my heart and my mind. He lifts my mood and brightens my day. He renews my spirit with the gift of his song, which seems to come straight from his heart. As I was thinking about what I would pick as my song for this week, I thought about David and the way his music makes me feel and then it came to me! When I hear David sing, it is like I am bubbling over with feelings of calmness, peace and joy. With that said,

The Song of the Week is…

“Bubbly”

“Bubbly” is a song co-written and sung by American pop star Colbie Caillat, for her début album Coco which was released in the United States in May of 2007. The single has been certified platinum, with sales of more than 2.6 million downloads. It is a sweet song about how special someone can make you feel when you see them or spend simple time with them.

Now a video of David singing “Bubbly” for the first time at a concert this past July in Pittsburgh, PA. So glad he took the challenge!



No matter the song David may sing, when I hear his voice I get that bubbly feeling! Wishing you all a week full of good things and may you too feel a little bubbly as you get through the next seven days. 😉

    It’s a perfect song for David and a perfect song to describe our feelings when he sings. Somehow this song should be in a bubble tweet, so it can follow us where ever we go! Thanks for making this week a little better!
